Guess what? It’s another random journal. I couldn’t wait to get back to it. Today is Monday. Yesterday was one of my son’s birthdays, but I was late getting to the birthday issue in the Technossance Magazine. There wasn’t much dancing, but there was a heck of a lot of cake.
I got to thinking about music production lately. I stuck with it for decades, but I have no plans to return to that work. It was a relief to finish the Technossance Magazine because juggling the work on different elements was hard as hell. An equalizer is incredibly useful for shaping how music sounds when you listen back. It lets you adjust bass, mids, and treble so every instrument and vocal sits just right in the mix. By boosting or cutting certain frequencies, you can fix muddy sound or bring out hidden gems.
I got on a roll over the weekend listening to WRICH 109.9 FM and WOW 87.7 FM in a delicate balance of rock and heavy metal.

I take a break from it and on goes the record player.

Writing was a struggle, yet I did it for so long. After finally finishing The Great Book, there just won’t be any more books. I was involved in many writing groups, and they helped me become a better writer. At the same time, the experience was incredibly demanding and it was exhausting as hell.
At a writer’s conference in Windsor, I found myself fully immersed in the rhythm of writing, surrounded by other authors who were just as focused and driven. The sessions, conversations, and quiet moments between them all seemed to push me forward, and instead of overthinking, I simply kept putting words on the page. By the end of it, I had not only stayed actively engaged the entire time, but I also managed to finish a complete flash fiction piece —something about the energy of the conference was cool.
