Hey there! Today is Friday. I used to write a private journal and call this Freaky Friday. This journal is public instead, and I don’t write in it as often. It’s a different pace, but it still feels familiar.
I still can’t believe my books are all complete. Done. Finishing the last two was especially difficult, and there were moments when I wasn’t sure I’d get through them. But somehow, after all the time and effort, they’re done, and that feeling is hard to put into words. Relief.

The Bad Books Library doesn’t require you to have your own card. Retired life has started off great, quieter and more balanced than before. I’m not on social media much anymore, which is good. Ironically, my cat seems to have taken over that space, and it has a social media presence of its own.
Anyway, I fed my cat this morning, and it’s always thirsty.

One more cup of coffee, please. Home sweet home. I’ll sometimes read Bubba’s articles in the Harlem Herald. I stopped writing for the online paper. Too much commitment and I’d rather listen to my record collection.

I love music, the arts, and literature. I’ve talked before about how I wrote for myself. The Technossance Magazine feels absolutely colossal, something you can get lost in for hours. It’s great to go through, but honestly, it’s so massive it almost feels like you need a tour guide just to navigate it all.
Art is great. Laura Kerr calls her piece “a rapid unscheduled disassembly of the sky” on the internet. Visual art captures ideas and emotions through images, shapes, and color. It has evolved across time, continually finding new ways to express how we see and interpret the world. I gotta get back to the real nitty-gritty. I gotta get ready for more Black Sabbath and the weekend.
